Let me introduce myself! I’m Mary Lewis – wife, mom of four adult children, freelance writer, podcast producer, and a maker like you!
In April of 2023, my husband and I started a small business making candles, wax melts, soaps, lip balms, salves, and essential oil blends. In figuring out how to market our goods to buyers, I searched the internet for a local or regional makers directory and discovered that what I was looking for didn’t really exist.
So, after a full year of considering making a directory, here it is! I know how difficult marketing can be for makers, because it takes time, and a little bit of know-how, and honestly there are only so many hours in a day, and we all need to sleep at some point.
If you choose to be a member of the Midwest Makers Directory, you will be able to post pictures of your products, a description of what you make and sell, and links to your social media pages, your website, and whatever platforms you use to sell your products (Etsy, etc.).
Also, I’m planning on featuring a member on this blog twice a month, and also if you’d like to be a guest on my podcast, A Tiny Homestead, that would be promotion for you, too!
